Join Our Team

We're a small, skilled team that builds things people drive past every day. If you want to work with your hands, your eyes, or your design software and see your work on the road and on buildings across North Carolina, we'd like to meet you.

We don't have any specific openings posted right now, but that doesn't mean we don't want to hear from you. We review general applications year-round and reach out when a fit opens up. The form below works whether or not there's a listing.

Why Stonetree Signs

Small Team, Real Impact

You won't be a number here. Everyone on our team touches real projects and sees the results installed on buildings across the Carolinas.

Learn the Full Business

From design to fabrication to installation, you'll understand how a complete visual branding operation works. Rare knowledge in this industry.

Variety Every Day

No two projects are the same. Channel letters, fleet wraps, monument signs, church LED boards — the work is constantly different.

Local & Established

We've been in Asheboro since 1997. We're not a startup taking a swing; we're a stable business with deep community roots.

Internships

We've offered hands-on internships to students interested in graphic design and the sign and print industry — it's not a formal program with application windows, just a working shop that likes teaching. Nearly all of our interns have been graphic designers, and they work on real client projects, not busy work.

No listed opening? Apply anyway. Academic interns especially — even when nothing is posted, there's often something you can do here and learn from. Introduce yourself with the form below and tell us what you're studying.

Academic credit internships: If your school offers internship credit, we're happy to work with your program coordinator to fulfill the requirements. You'll need a faculty sponsor and a learning agreement from your institution, and we'll sign what you bring us.

What we look for: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator especially), a strong eye for layout and typography, and a genuine interest in how signage is designed and produced. Prior experience in wide-format printing or sign production is a plus but not required.

Availability: We've hosted summer internships (May–August, full or part time) and semester-based internships coordinated around school schedules. Tell us your availability in the form below.
